AI can give you the answer in seconds.
Which is exactly what makes it dangerous if you are not careful.
The most important question leaders should be asking right now is not whether their teams are using AI. They are to some degree. The question is whether they are still doing the thinking that makes the answer useful.
AI accelerates thinking. It should never replace it.
The leaders I watch navigate this best are not the ones restricting access, they are the ones building a culture where the output is always the starting point, never the conclusion.
They ask their teams: what did you make of this? Where does it fall short? What is it missing that only you would know from being inside this organization?
That is where human judgment lives. And right now, that judgment is worth more than it has ever been.
The risk with AI is that faster becomes a substitute for better.
So, my challenge to you is, how are you keeping critical thinking alive on your team? I’d love to hear what’s working.
